Popis organizace:

CSCD is a non-governmental organization established in 2010 in the rural SW part of Romania and has as main objective to support youth with fewer opportunities, especially rural youth to reach its full potential. For this purpose, CSCD puts in place projects and initiatives that serves to the personal and professional development of its target. The team that runs the project is composed of two professionals in youth work, youth policy and youth research and other 13 volunteers, working on different dimensions of the projects implemented. In order to run the activities, CSCD is partnering up with the village councils, with the schools in the villages and with the other NGOs that are active in the social and/or educational field. For the last 9 years, we’ve supported over 5000 young people and in our activities, we trained over 50 youth workers. Except for the grassroots initiatives with themes as civic participation, youth development, structured dialogue, social entrepreneurship, CSCD runs trainings for youth workers on detached youth work or youth work standards. CSCD also trains teachers on using nonformal education methodologies and when required, runs sessions on personal development for groups of students or pupils. In order to implement its activities, CSCD is working closely with the local councils of Giubega and Galiciuica villages, with the schools in the two villages and with the main education provider (higschool) in the area - Mihai Viteazul Highschool in Bailesti. Except for our activities implemented in the villages, CSCD has also been representing the voice of rural youth by being part of the co-management processes of the Council of Europe - being part of the Advisory Council on Youth (2011-2013) and since then, has been part of different activities run by the DYS - Directorate of Youth and Sport of the Council of Europe. Except for the grassroots activities that we are running, CSCD is also the national correspondent for Youth Wiki, being designated by the Ministry of Youth and Sport to report on the chapters existent on Youth Wiki. The leaders of the organization are also involved with other European processes and projects - PEYR - Pool of European Youth Researchers; European database of monitoring and evaluation experts, etc.
