Organisatsiooni kirjeldus:

AIAS, Provincial Section of Pesaro and Urbino, is a voluntary association (ONLUS) that works to protect the rights of disabled people by promoting initiatives and activities aimed at satisfying the needs of all adults with serious psycho-physical disabilities and at improving their quality of life. AIAS, the “Associazione Italiana Assistenza Spastici”, deals with people with severe mental and physical disabilities trying to guarantee them a better life and a real social integration.
AIAS is a private non-profit association that, acting as a volunteer, works to protect and promote the right of people with disability to rehabilitation, health, education and work. Therefore, the association is there to support people with disabilities, but also to inform the community regarding the problems of disabled persons and their families, in order to contribute to their full social integration in the community.
The section of Pesaro manages a Daily Centre and a Residential Centre. The "Anna Giardini" Rehabilitation Day Centre is open from Monday to Friday providing its services to about 14 people with severe and medium serious disabilities, all resident in the municipalities of the Pesaro and Fano area. It remains open from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, guaranteeing its guests a complete meal as well as the possibility to have a snack. The users can access it freely without time restrictions, they can also use a transport service directly managed by the Association.
Most of the guests are not self-sufficient because they are affected by pathologies that prevent them from carrying out the simplest daily actions (eating, drinking, washing, checking their physiological functions, etc.).
AIAS, having among its main objectives the social integration of people with disabilities, participates in organized events in the city and in the hinterland both in summer and winter and during the year we organize trips and holidays with our users.
