Gulbene Municipality State Gymnasium (GMSG) is the only one gymnasium in Gulbene district. School offers 3 learning programs:
* Second stage basic education program,
* General secondary education program with in-depth economic studies,
* General secondary education program with mathematics, science and engineering directions.
Both secondary education programs provide subjects from all areas of education (grades 7th - 12th).
Students have the opportunity to improve their analytical and creative thinking skills by performing laboratory work, developing research skills. They learn to set up student companies.
They have extra-curricular activities such as folk dance group "Rūsiņš" and choir "Silver" (received national recognitions). School has students' self-government. School promotes young people initiative, development of teamwork skills for students and teachers.
Students and teachers participate in different activities - state level and also international. It helps to improve competences. School has implemented Erasmus+ KA2 program projecs, students have participated also in Euroscola activities in European Parlament in Strasbourg. The school has status - the School of Ambassadors of the European Parliament.
It offers students the opportunity to prepare and pass the international DSD German language exam. In school is French language club.
From September 1st 2019 the school will be connected with Gulbene Primary School (grades 1st - 6th). Buildings already some years are physically connected and many rooms were shared.
Gymnasium will overtake Primary School with all commitments - pupils, staff, also their experiences.
From September 2019 there will be about 480 students in GMSG: 280 - 1st -6th class; 200 - 7th-12th class and about 90 workers.
GMSG will offer also primary stage basic education program, also special education program for pupils with learning dissabilities and mental dissabilities.
Primary School age pupils will have different extra-curricular activities: folk, contemporary and sports dances, choir, vocal ensemble, art club, handicraft club, theatre, cycling school, robotics. Pupils get support from speech therapist, psychologist and social pedagogue.
5th and 6th grade pupils can participate in students' self government. Primary School has implemented 3 successful "Erasmus+: Youth in action" program Voluntary work projects, involving volunteers in different activities, letting place for their own iniciative, also involving in their activities different generations, local community.
Primary School is open for local and international cooperations, also for intergenerational cooperation.
School has eTwinning School status, also "Health Promoting School" status. Every year School participates in National level activity having in school "sports classes".

Tato organizace je ochotná přijmout pro různé typy projektů dobrovolníky, kteří se nacházejí v situaci, která jim účast na dobrovolnických aktivitách komplikuje, a to z následujících kategorií:
