Kilis Directorate of National Education is a public institution established in 1995, which carries out educational activities in Kilis province under the Ministry of National Education. School-age students are educated in schools of all kinds and levels affiliated to our institution. The statistical information about our institution are as follows: School / Institution: 179 Classrooms: 1.596 Students: 50.054 Teacher: 2.682 Students per Class Primary + Secondary: 30 General Secondary: 29 Vocational and Technical: 20 Our institution has an AR-GE unit and since 2004 it has been writing EU projects, Ministry of Development (SODES), Silk Road Development Agency projects and has the necessary human resources and experience in managing and executing these projects. Kilis Provincial Directorate of National Education has been providing education and training services to thousands of Syrian students since the beginning of the refugees' arrival in 2011. Currently 10776 Syrian students are studying in 21 Temporary Education Centers in our province. In addition, there are around 13614 Syrian students studying together with Turkish students in mixed classes in public schools in our province. The trainers who work in Temporary Education Centers are mostly educated by Syrian Arab teachers. 13614 Syrians are integrated into the Turkish education system, our students are taught by teachers from Turkey together with our students in our schools.
