The kindergarten “Il Saltallegro” is a centre for children between three months and 6 years old in Pesaro. It was born as a baby parking in 2001 then, in 2012, the centre became a kindergarten as it is still now. We are open from Monday to Friday the whole year: from September to June we are open in the morning from 7.30 to 14.00 and we organise extra activities for children between 3 and 6 years old in the afternoon; from June to August, we are only open from 7.30 to 14.00.
In being a kindergarten, we are the first step in the educational cycle of the children: children spend half of their daily time in our centre and, therefore, we are their first educational model after their families. For this reason, we offer different kinds of activities to the children starting from foreign languages, to artistic workshops to practice their manual skills, to psychomotor learning and yoga. All the activities are organised according to the age of the children and taking into account their attention span. Part of our children can have an immigration background, since the centre is open to everybody with no limitations.
In being active in this field since 2001, we have realised that Pesaro doesn’t have that much to offer for small children in terms of cultural diversity and foreign languages: for this reason we have started a process of internationalisation of our activities, introducing activities in English and activities about cultural diversity.
We constitute an important point of reference also for the parents: their children spend half of their days with us, so the relationship with the family is fundamental and it is something that we always try to nourish with the organisation of workshops, activities and events with them.
