Twilight is actively involved in civic participation networks involving: Schools, Sports, Youth, Older People, Disadvantaged, Disability, Ethnic Minorities. LGBTI+, Traveller, Roma and other Marginalised Communities. We work in rural and urban areas combating isolation and promoting social inclusion for all citizens.. The Department of Justice & Football Association Ireland endorsed Twilight, and we are supported by The Wheel, Community Foundation of Ireland, Kilkenny County Council.
Twilight has been involved in many activities based around our Youth group. We have built a strong interaction for youth participation in sport. We collaborate with the FAI & GAA, with both organisations issuing letters of support for the ‘Integration Through Sport’ programme. We have successfully completed our ‘Connecting Cultures’ project, which was an Erasmus + programme. This involved activities in Ireland and Poland with participants from Six Countries. All participants came from the target age group of 18 to 30. With the support of the Community Foundation of Ireland, we completed a very successful Theatre Training programme for the same age group offering the opportunity for students to receive informal instruction to script, produce, direct and perform original one-act plays. We hosted the Balbiny youth group from Malbork.. We have introduced early learning classes for National School Students by organising French language lessons, & numerous successful activities since 2014
