PJR Dresden offers an european volunteer the possibility of incorporating her-/himself up to twelve months in the organization’s work of civic education. The volunteer will support us in our wide range of projects which consist of educational projects in formal as well as in informal settings, educational trips to political institutions and memorial sites and international youth exchanges. Tasks will be investigation of political and historical topics, the creation of educational material, help in the logistics and management of our projects and the realization of educational projects with the kids and youngsters. The volunteer will be encouraged and supported in the creation and realization of an own project. Hence we offer opportunities for volunteers to take over responsibilities, take part in the political socialization of kids and youngsters and besides that also to dedicate themselves to own ideas.
Akkomodazzjoni, ikel u arranġamenti tat-trasport
The volunteer will have a room in a shared flat with another young person. Travel tickets will be bought by the volunteer in consultation with us. The volunteer will be equipped with a monthly ticket for local public transport. Money for food will be paid on a monthly base to the volunteer (approx. 8 € / day).
Taħriġ matul l-attività
The volunteer is going to have an own working place in the office. A Tutor is going to give him instructions and is going to help him/her with her/his tasks. Furthermore we want to present him/her a mentor for more personal issues and crisis situations. There will be regular evaluation talks - based on a learning agreement that has been signed before the start of the project - between volunteer and his/her tutor. In the office there will also work a long-term volunteer of a regional program which gives the opportunity for joint projects and activities.
Profil tal-parteċipant
As our work is based on language as well in oral as in written form we are looking for volunteers with a good level of german (B2). Furtermore applicants with already some kind of previous expierence in the work with kids and young adults would be preferred. Finally interest in historical and political topics as well as an open mind and enthusiasm for universal rights and democratic principles are necessary requisites.
