Deskrizzjoni

The „K19“ is Agapedia’s latest project which opened in December 2019 and is still under construction. Every day at the German Agapedia Children's Centre „K19 Herzenssache Kinderhaus“, 40 to 80 children aged six to twelve learn how to use their spare time sensibly. These children learn how to be self-confidence, to cooperate and to make decisions through sports, crafting, games and relationship-building guidance. We combine open social work for children with obligatory workshops in areas such as sport, arts, crafts and music to help children realize and tap their full potential. It is our main focus to actively involve the children in decision-making processes and to adapt our program to their needs. In addition to the daily activities, „K19“ would also like to offer special thematic holidays programs. Some of the children’s parents stay in the parent’s area while the children spend their time in the „K19“ to get to know other parents and to get in touch.

Taħriġ matul l-attività

Agapedia is a German private foundation, which was founded by Jürgen Klinsmann in 1995. The foundation’s activities promote social change in five countries: Germany, Romania, Bulgaria, Republic of Moldova and Georgia. The volunteer will get two educating seminars organised by German National Agency. Agapedia will also prepare the introductory week and German language courses in our local language schools.

Profil tal-parteċipant

Creative people are always very welcome, especially with an interest to implement their own ideas. The volunteer is mainly used to work with children and take on a few organizational tasks. In any case, Agapedia tries to involve people with different abilities because the managing directors believe in diversity. We require applications of Volunteers with B1 German language level.
