ASC Kinderbewegungshaus is a daycare centre currently providing care for approximately 100 children between the ages of 1 and 6 years. The languages spoken are German and English on account of the Immersion concept employed by the team of English and German speaking staff. Some of the children are from an intercultural background and experience the English language in a child appropriate way thus making learning a new language a positive experience. ASC Kinderbewegungshaus has its own gym, gymnastic room and garden providing space for stimulating and challenging learning. We regard our volunteers as members of our team. The general responsibilities of the volunteers are: - Assisting to prepare & carry out activities (sports, singing, dancing, handwork…) - supporting the staff in the classroom and during lunch breaks (supervising the children) - household and domestic help in the establishments (mealtimes, sweeping, laundry) - teaching us about their country, traditions & culture
Akkomodazzjoni, ikel u arranġamenti tat-trasport
You will get accommodation together with 2-3 international volunteers in a private shared flat. You will have your own room and with your flatmates you share kitchen and a bathroom. You will get 150€ per month for boarding, according to the guidelines from the ESC, and a an additional subsidy for meals. For the transport we will find a personal solution together with you. Göttingen, the town of placement, is a very bike friendly city and it is standard to cycle from A to B.
Taħriġ matul l-attività
During your work at the ASC you will get various opportunities to visit any trainings to develop your individual skills. We fully support the ESC-system with the seminars, which you will visit.
Profil tal-parteċipant
You should be open and motivated to deal on a daily base with young children in the age from one to six years old. You will work in a team with 2-3 education teachers. Your english or german should be fluently, because you will speak english or german during working hours the whole day. A passion for sport would be helpful but this is not a basic condition.
