Completing the online application form available there is strongly recommended to take part in the selection process. Volunteers will support the teaching staff in their daily educational activities. The project offers an excellent opportunity to learn and practice Spanish through direct interaction with pupils and teachers. Volunteers will also carry out activities in their native language, providing valuable intercultural and linguistic learning opportunities for children and staff, while promoting language diversity and cultural exchange within the school community.

Настаняване, хранене и транспорт

Volunteers will live in a shared flat in Cartagena with other volunteers. Each volunteer will have a private room to ensure comfort and privacy. The coordinating organisation will cover the rent and utility bills. The project also provides food support (€184/month), pocket money (€186/month), local transport, medical insurance, and travel costs from the volunteer’s place of residence to Cartagena and back, in accordance with programme rules.

Обучение по време на дейността

The volunteer will take part in the On-Arrival Training and Mid-Term Evaluation organised by the Spanish National Agency. These activities are a mandatory part of the European Solidarity Corps programme and provide support, guidance, intercultural learning opportunities, and a space to reflect on the volunteer’s experience, learning process, and personal development throughout the project.

Профил на участника

This project is open to young people aged 18–30 who have not previously participated in a European Volunteering Service (EVS) or European Solidarity Corps (ESC) volunteering project. Our organisation is committed to inclusion and will give priority to young people with fewer opportunities. Volunteers will be selected based on their motivation, attitude, and willingness to actively engage in the project. We are looking for young people who show a genuine interest in the activities, share the values of solidarity, intercultural learning, and active participation, and are committed to making the most of this volunteering experience. We will particularly value candidates who demonstrate responsibility, initiative, openness to learning, and the ability to work as part of a team. Previous experience is not required. Basic knowledge of Spanish is appreciated, as it may facilitate communication and integration, but it is not a requirement, and volunteers will have many opportunities to improve their language skills throughout the project.
