Opis
The activity will take place in Odisha, India for 9 months. Activities involve: - Working in OSVSWA, the hosting organisation for visibility of the organization, innovative projects and programs, capacity building of the local volunteers, networking and partnerships, fundraising support and knowledge sharing, - Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR) for livelihood security and sustainable development: Promote inclusive and participatory approaches, Development of Disaster Preparedness Awareness manual, Provide awareness, community sensitization on Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH), training and orientation, creation of WASH ambassadors in the community, - Empowering adolescent girls and women health, nutrition, and wellbeing of the poor tribal population in Odisha: Capacity building of stakeholders, Awareness on menstrual hygiene, reproductive health, mental health and infectious diseases, Entrepreneurship and skill development, Innovative coaching - Sports for better health
Ubytovanie, strava a doprava
There are 3 locations depending on their deployments: 1. Volunteers who will work for OSVSWA will stay at the volunteers house located near OSVSWA Head Office in Bhubaneswar. 2. Volunteers who will work for DRR will stay at the volunteers house in Karamanga, Konark. 3. Volunteers who will work for women empowerment and wellbeing will stay at the volunteers house in Chadeyapalli village of Daspalla Block in Nayagarh District All the houses have a room with bed, study table and chair, wifi, washing machine, kitchen with utensils. OSVSWA will provide lunch.
Odborná príprava počas činnosti
* During the induction, we will orient the volunteers with : - Information about the state of Odisha - Introduction about the Organization/Local staff/ beneficiaries introduction - Information about the project locations, and ongoing activities - information about the living, dealing withlocal people, respect, dos and don'ts etc - local language training (Hindi and Odia) - Safety, Security and customs - Volunteers responsibility and expectations - Cultural sensitivity and organization behavior - Information about safe evacuation (during natural hazards)
Profil účastníka
Volunreers will be delpoyed according to their backgounds and profiles. We are looking for the candidates who will be able to work in the organisation for capacity building, strengthening the skills, instincts, abilities, processes and resources of the organization, communities for the Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR) for livelihood security and sustainable development and empowering adolescent girls and women health, nutrition and wellbeing of the poor tribal population in Odisha .
