Opis
The volunteer will have the opportunity to work with middle school students at Atgimimas School in Druskininkai. With the support of staff, the volunteer will help organize events and after-class activities, communicate with students, assist teachers during lessons, and contribute to non-formal education initiatives. The project seeks to encourage young people to become more actively involved in the social life of the Druskininkai community. At the same time, it focuses on supporting the volunteer’s personal growth by developing practical skills, knowledge, and competencies. The experience is designed to enhance the volunteer’s future employability while ensuring a meaningful and high-quality volunteering journey.
Ubytovanie, strava a doprava
Travel expenses will be reimbursed up to the maximum amount set according to the volunteer’s country of origin, based on the European Commission’s distance calculator. The organizer will assure financial support: daily allowance (6 eur) and food allowance (6 eur) per day. The accommodation is located close to the volunteering venue. Each volunteer will have a private room, while the kitchen and bathroom facilities will be shared.
Odborná príprava počas činnosti
Training for the volunteer will be organized by the NA in line with the programme requirements. The volunteer will also be supported in their learning process through the Youthpass framework. In addition, the volunteer will have both a mentor and a tutor, who will assist with daily tasks, provide guidance in their work, and support their smooth integration into the local social environment.
Profil účastníka
The community is looking for a volunteer who is motivated to engage actively in school life, shows initiative, is open-minded, and can easily adapt to a new environment. Skills or interests in arts and sports would be considered an advantage. As the project encourages young people’s initiatives, the volunteer will have the opportunity to design and lead activities for the community independently or with the support of the school. These may include teaching their native language, playing musical instruments, singing, organizing sports activities, hosting photo or video sessions, or leading creative workshops such as arts and crafts. Only participants from European Union countries will be considered. Selected candidates will receive an Infopack.
