Deskrizzjoni
Your main task will be prepare, plan, organize and most important - lead indoor and outdoor activities for local kids and “New Leaders Academy” for teenagers. As well prepare place where activities will happen and your working space. It’s max 40 hours of work per week. It’s 8 hours per day. Also you will have a chance to teach kids your language. All activities is going to be organized in non-formal way, using a lot of fun and creativity. So you need to prepare program, run it and support each other! You will work in team with 12 ESC volunteers from different countries. Please note, that you might need some extra time for planning activities. The work is hard, so prepare for it. Also weather conditions could be challange, cause summer here is sometimes ends even before it starts. And summer in Latvia is very different then summer in your countries. Big chance of rain, cold and almost no sun. Your projects will ends with day of evaluation.
Akkomodazzjoni, ikel u arranġamenti tat-trasport
Volunteers during their stay in Liepaja will be provided with accomodations in dorms (3-4 persons per room, same gender, same project), pocket money, food money, hot lunch during activities, unlimited public transport tickets in Liepaja, support of mentors, insurance, latvian language lessons (optional). Travel costs will be covered based on ESC limits.
Taħriġ matul l-attività
Volunteers MUST be ready to spend first 5 days in outdoor camp with basic infrastructure, preparing their own food and try to survive in deep forests in Latvia in On-arrival training, for to build team of volunteers and project leaders. During project participants will have chance to participate in different trainings for self development and to do shadowing in different proffessions choosed by themselve.
Profil tal-parteċipant
• Aged between 18 and 30 • Good communication skills in English (basic knowledges of latvian language will be taken as adventage) • Able to commit 2 months to volunteering in another country • Computer literate • We are particularly open to young people with fewer opportunities (geographic, economical etc.) • Basic knowledge of non-formal education • Open-minded with a good sense of humour • Familiar with outdoor activities and team building basics • Big bonuss if you are familiar with video making skills and know how to work with camera and after editing clips in one movie.
