Marijampoles Jono Totoraicio Progymnasium is an organisation that gives primary (1 - 4 grades) and lower secondary education (5 - 8 grades). The school is the biggest school in the city of Marijampole. There are 62 teachers and 804 students in our progymnasium. The number of staff working in our school is 93. The curiculum contains Native Language (Lithuanian), English (as the first foreign language), Russian /German (as the secondary foreign language), Maths, physics, chemistry, science (biology), art, physical education, history, geography, ICT, technologies and religion. Students can attend different after school clubs, for example, dance club, singing club, basketball, volleyball, scouts, volunteering, etc.
Настаняване, хранене и транспорт
Volunteer will be provided monthly food and pocket money. Daily commute and other necessary transport expenses will be covered. Accommodation will be found according to our budget and volunteers needs - volunteer will live in a separate room in shared flat with other volunteers, provided with all necessary utilities (fridge, oven, etc.) in a shared space. Living place will be in Marijampolė. All the required medical examinations, health and safety training at the beginning.
Обучение по време на дейността
There will be two training courses scheduled during the volunteering period. A 3-day training at the beginning of volunteers term (on-Arrival) and similar but slightly longer mid-term training. These courses are meant for volunteers to understand how the project works, to set goals for their skill development during the project, self-evaluate their progress. At the end of project volunteer will be provided with Youthpass certificate to acknowledge his/her developed skills.

The purpose of health education in our progymnasium is to help students acquire a holistic concept of health, to develop healthier lifestyle, habits and attitudes, responsibility for their own and others' health, to encourage children to make healthier choices. Health education will be more effective if the entire progymnasium community is involved wellness activities. We are waiting for volunteer: - who want to share their knowledge, try pedagogy; - who would like to organize activities, events; - who would like to do interesting project activities and interesting things for children.
