The hosting organization is looking for you to be engaged in 4 areas. 1) With disabled children, organizing outdoor and indoor games, walking, painting,singing, dancing, practicing cognitive therapies and providing support in their everyday lives. 2) With disabled youngsters, supporting them through walks in the park, visits in cafés, libraries and museums, art, dance and work therapy, so rising thir skills and competencies. 3) Inside the organization, on media management (maintenance of the website, creation of newsletters, videos about the project, presentations to promote the ESC and blogs), and developing and participating in other projects such as youth exchanges and trainings. 4) In a primary school, supporting children in rationalize their leisure time, organizing games and sports activities, assisting them in learning and preparing of school lessons and increasing their motivation for learning through games and jokes. And there's more (theatre, sport, travels, friendships...)
Akkomodazzjoni, ikel u arranġamenti tat-trasport
You and your colleagues will be accommodated in apartments equipped with bathroom, kitchen, and 2 bedrooms. At the beginning of each month you’ll receive a food allowance, adequate to buy and cook on your own according with life’s cost in Bulgaria. Furthermore, around 210 euros per month are given as pocket money for your personal expenses. The travel from Italy to Bulgaria and back is fully reimbursed. Your worktime will be around 30 hours per week, usually from Monday to Friday. An insurance coverage against all risks is provided by the program. You'll have no need to use local transports.
Taħriġ matul l-attività
You'll attend 3 official training sessions: a pre-departure training before leaving Italy, an on-arrival training in a few weeks after your advent in Bulgaria, and a mid-term training around at half of your volunteering. More internal meetings and trainings will be held by the hosting organization, also to share concerns, problems, expectations, results, successes and joys of your volunteering: a mentor and a tutor will be close to you for any necessity. You’ll acquire knowledge, skills and competencies about non-formal education. Also, a Bulgarian language course will be organized.
