This volunteering opporutnity offers a young person aged 18+ a chance to join our Tullamore Team for a short term (8weeks) opporutnity to support a vibrant and diverse youth environment with the integration of our new Ukranian communities. Over a 30 hour week you will support the youth work team and bring your skills and talents to the project as we undertake an exciting and busy summer programme. We will be working with a range of diverse cultural groups and intend to integrate our youth work practice in a more diverse community setting with lots of fun events and activities. Experience gained will include Planning and Implementation methods as well as Evaluation of programmes and practice for the support of our huge community groups. Working over a 4-5 day schedule you can expect to support inhouse workshops and exciting day trips as well as developing strong team work skills.
Ubytovanie, strava a doprava
This opportunity is aimed at local young people aged 18+ who can commit to a 30 hour week flexible over a 5 day period. Food allowance and pocket money is provided to every volutneer and we also provide some meals adn refreshments inhouse with staff and young people. We have bikes for loan to support transport access and any challenges here will be considered in relation to access and accomodation for the duration of the placement.
Odborná príprava počas činnosti
A wide range of learning opporutnities occur throughout the project timeline, You can expect to complete an advance planning visit where you will meet your mentor, other youth workers, other volutneers and get a full idea of the role ahead. On starting you will complete induction training and receive a detailed plan of the coming weeks journey. You will be supported by your mentor weekly and offered every opporutnity to avail of the extra supports on offer.

We're looking for a young person between 18 and 30 who can commit to 30 hours per week for 8 weeks. Friendly, Kind and helpful are key attributes and if you are looking for a fun environment to get strong experience and lots of learning then we'll welcome your interest.
