Opis
The volunteer will be at the local middle school with students between the ages of 13-15. There, the volunteer will be part of a team that interact with the students in the corridors, create break activities and occasionally join classes. The main focus for the volunteer will be youths and interacting with them. During school breaks, the volunteer will be at the local library to create arts and crafts activities with younger pupils together with library staff. The volunteer is encouraged to create their own projects that they would personally oversee with the support and help if needed from their work mentor.
Ubytovanie, strava a doprava
The volunteer will share a centrally located apartment with two other volunteers. It has a private bedroom for each of them and a shared kitchen, bathroom and living room. The apartment is equipped with Wi-fi and a TV. The project lasts 12 months and the volunteer will have two days off a month, additionally to the Swedish bank holidays. The volunteer buys and cook their own food. Åmål is a small town with everything within walking distance and the volunteer will get a bike to use as well.
Odborná príprava počas činnosti
The volunteer will participate in an on-arrival training and a mid-term training in Stockholm held by the National Agency in Sweden and meet volunteers from other Swedish projects.
Profil účastníka
We are looking for a volunteer who enjoys working in a team with people with different backgrounds and needs. Who is flexible and creative, enjoys both office work (planning, meetings, brainstorming) but also enjoys participating in, and organise activities with young people and other more practical tasks.
