Ambassador of Europe and Mobility - Habitat Jeunes Laval

Deskrizzjoni

Habitat Jeunes Laval is a youth organisation designed to promote social mixing and diversity with 3 homes in the city for young people. They facilitate meetings between inhabitants, and contribute to a spirit of openness, tolerance and solidarity. It offers homes, restauration, animations every week evenings . The volunteer, as an ambassador of Europe, will work in the 3 homes. Tasks will be : - Creating european animations and events for the evenings (cultural evenings, sport events, movies...) - Creating long-lasting projects with the inhabitants (about Europe and european priorities like environnement, fight against discrimination) - Participating in the creation of documents such as flyers, posters etc. - Managing social networks and a newsletter - Setting up activities linked with European mobility - Supporting the animators in daily task. The project is coordinated by the House of Europe of Mayenne but the placement will take place in Habitat Jeunes Laval.

Akkomodazzjoni, ikel u arranġamenti tat-trasport

Accommodation will be in a shared appartment with other european volunteer in Habitat Jeunes Laval - Résidence Pierre de Coubertin. You will have your own room. Transportation paid up to 275€ from home country to Laval and return. Taħriġ matul l-attività

Volunteers will follow a starting seminar at the beginning of their projects with other ESC volunteers in France. They will have a second seminar in the middle of the project. These seminars are compulsory and organised by the French National Agency. OLS access will be given to follow French courses + possibility to follow French classes in presential. Training course about the European Union will be provided by the House of Europe (coordinating organisation) to allow the volunteers to have all informations and documents to become ambassadors of Europe and mobility in their host organisation.

Profil tal-parteċipant

You need to be autonomous in your work and to have the sense of initiative to propose new animations, projects and workshops for the inhabitants every week.The volunteer should be comfortable with animations (especially with young adults) and organising events, be creative and have interest in promoting EU, values, cultures... He should be open-minded and curious - Good/Basic communication skills in French are required - Basic ICT skills (internet, social networks…) - A 1st experience in animation would be great - comfortable to speak in public and to work with young people facing difficulties
