Paz y Esperanza is a human rights organization that works with children, adolescents, women, people with disabilities and indigenous populations, so that they can be free from different forms of violence and injustice. - This mission has a component of communication and pedagogy and the activities to be carried out are: - create simple and easy-to-understand content to train different actors on issues of rights and gender, - generate communication strategies to generate spokespersons for gender justice, - develop institutional communication material, training and for social networks - investigate and monitor social struggles and bills that threaten human rights and gender justice - monitoring of public policies related to gender issues and dissemination in print and virtual media - support the development of gender mainstreaming policy at the institutional level. . The volunteer will have the opportunity to participate in events and meetings related to the project.
Akkomodazzjoni, ikel u arranġamenti tat-trasport
Paz y Esperanza offers the rental of a shared flat with 3 individual bedrooms. The flat has a living-dining room, kitchen, bathroom, toilets, internet connection and all basic services. It is located in the residential area, close to the office on a main avenue where there are different public transport networks. Nearby there are hospitals, shops, restaurants. A few blocks away, the volunteer can find transport to different parts of the city. In terms of food, there are several restaurants in the area that offer a wide variety of food at average costs, corresponding to various food regimes.
Taħriġ matul l-attività
The volunteer will be trained in the themes addressed by the project Forces and Voices for Gender Justice, such as gender justice, secularism, democracy and human rights. This theoretical learning can be linked to the accompaniment of the Gender Justice Table, where faith-based organisations, theologians, pastors, feminist and LGBTI collectives participate. In addition, through the P&E Induction Course, you will gain a better understanding of the demands for rights and justice of vulnerable population. Complementary tools: OLS for languages and Youthpass for competencies.
Profil tal-parteċipant
A volunteer who shares values of justice and solidarity, who orients his/her actions in favour of people in vulnerable situations, especially the population with whom Paz y Esperanza works. Knowledge of and commitment to human rights, preferably with an emphasis on gender justice, and knowledge of the current Latin American context. Have skills in: graphic design, writing, content development for social networks.
