Opis
Project takes place in Ankkapurha Youth Center in Kouvola, Finland. Volunteers will work as a part of Youth Center staff and main tasks are concentrated on maintenance of outdoor area and small fixing. Tasks include taking care of the garden area, some painting and fixing and preparing outdoor activity places. Volunteers will organize together with youth center staff event(s) for local families and youngsters at Youth Center area. Work does not require former experience of mentioned tasks but open mind and will to try and learn new things and skills are highly respected. The staff of Ankkapurha will always work beside the volunteers and help when needed. The working hours are between 6-8 hours/ day and 5 days/ week. Among working the staff of Youth Center arranges activities for the end of the working days and also for free time if needed based on wishes of volunteers. Youth center is surrounded by park and forest area with riverside about 130km from Helsinki.
Ubytovanie, strava a doprava
Accommodation is arranged in Ankkapurha Youth Center hostel which includes basic rooms to sleep, shared living room, bathroom and kitchen. Game room, a hut and sport hall of youth center can be used free on agreed times on free time. Accommodation is booked only for volunteers. One free meal is included for every workday. The work happens mainly at surroundings of youth center. At time to move somewhere youth center will provide train tickets. For moving from airport and back while travelling to and from Finland Ankkapurha Youth Center staff will help to find the best options for transport.
Odborná príprava počas činnosti
Arrival training is arranged at the first days of project time. All work is supervised by the staff of Youth Center.
