Deskrizzjoni
Your volunteering will involve helping families from the child welfare system and unaccompanied minor refugees. Your tasks will include encouraging and supporting youngsters in their daily activities (Helping them get out of bed, ensuring they attend school or other necessary places, engaging them in after-school activities, ...) and be present and serve as a positive role model for the youngsters. If you have a driver’s licence, you may also be responsible for transporting clients to appointments. You'll also have the opportunity to develop your own projects at the location, as long as they pertain to themes important in the development of young people.
Akkomodazzjoni, ikel u arranġamenti tat-trasport
You will be accommodated in in a studio near the city centre of Antwerp, at another of their organization’s sites. You will be provided with a public transport pass or a bicycle and two train passes for 10 single rides each within Belgium. You will receive an amount as pocket money, and 250 euro/month as food allowance. The travel from Italy to Belgium and back is fully reimbursed. An insurance company will protect you from any risk.
Taħriġ matul l-attività
You'll attend 3 official training sessions: a pre-departure one before leaving Italy, an on arrival one a few weeks after your advent in Belgium and a third one at around half of your volunteering. You will also receive other training in working with youngsters and reflection on your own skills. You'll be also provided with course of Dutch.

Are you at least 20 years old? Do you enjoy working with young people between the ages of 12 and 25, and their families? Do you possess social and interpersonal skills? Are you creative,flexible, enthusiastic, engaging, empathic, open to new ideas and curious? If so, we have an opportunity for you! You must be interested in organizing workshops that are creative, inspiring, and engaging for young people over time and be eager to learn new approaches on working with young people.
