During your volunteering, you will have two missions : - to raise awareness about environmental issues, especially about food issues and sustainable food : you will prepare and animate workshops about these topics for children, teenagers and senior people. You will also create projects and act with local ecological organisations. - to introduce European cultures to children : you will prepare and animate workshops about the different countries in Europe, how the European Union was built and any other part of Europe that you would like to share. You will mainly animate these workshops to children. You will also organise an event around these topics. - In addition, you will be having specific times about interculturality and European citizenship. Team of 24 volunteers : 12 from France & 12 youngsters from Europe
Akkomodazzjoni, ikel u arranġamenti tat-trasport
The 12 European volunteers will live in a youth house where you will have your own private bedroom and bathroom. You will share the kitchen with people from all over the world. The hosting organisation (Unis-Cité) will give you a monthly allowance (430€) and pay for your public bus subscription. The program also covers travel expenses and health insurance.
Taħriġ matul l-attività
We don't ask you to know about environmental issues, Europe, how to animate a workshop,... before the volunteering. The only thing that matters to us is that you are motivated to be committed in the project. At the beginning of the mission, you will be trained to prepare you for the mission (how to animate a workshop, environmental issues, the EU, sustainable food, ...). You will also have 2 hours of French lessons per week. We will also support you to think about your post-volunteering projects (resuming studies, travelling, working, ...). You will also participate to the ESC seminars.
