With this project, we aim at a cross-culture bridge between the Roma and non- Roma young people which will set an example of fruitful cooperation, inclusion and responsibility for other people, communities and countries. You will have individual as well as team activities. The activities will comprise a series of workshops that you, with our full support, will organize and hold for adolescents on varied topics (personal development, ESC and Erasmus+ opportunities, workshops on health and environment, freedom of expression through arts, handicrafts, Civic Education, Rights and Responsibilities Workshops, etc). There will be some office activities as well as outside the office ones. The atmosphere will be engaging, creative and you will have the chance to express your creative and artistic sides, a project of your own and also learn and provide information through non-formal methods.

The association will provide: 1. transportation money (from the volunteers’ countries to Iasi, Romania) 2. visa costs 3. accommodation with house expenses covered 4. pocket money 5. Money for food Pocket Money -120 eur/month Food Allowance -160 eur/month We provide accommodation in a fully quipped and furnished apartment. Rent and utilities (gas, electricity) will be paid by the hosting NGO.
Taħriġ matul l-attività
The volunteers will receive orientation and support throughout the process and for the activities as well as a mentor, a coordinator and Romanian classes.
Profil tal-parteċipant
- are young people between 18 and 30 years old; - have a real desire to spend almost a year in Romani; - have good social and communications skills; - are flexible, willing to learn and help the others; - are able to take initiatives and propose their ideas; - are open-minded and enthusiastic; - have knowledge of the English language (level A2 - B1); - believe in the volunteering work and want to contribute to improving it; - have a minimum experience of volunteering/working with teenagers/minorities; - feel comfortable working with teenagers between 14 and 19 years old; - are interested in developing and spreading the spirit of civic involvment; - want to learn Romanian, as it will be necessary in some of the activities; - want to discover new cultures, traditions and ways of living; - are motivated to learn competences for a future job: our focus will be on social work, minorities, culture and non-formal education; - are responsible and willing to share their culture and knowledge with the target groups; - have a positive attitude. - Important: artistic/creative skills: music and dance, pottery, crafts - weaving, knitting, painting; technical skills - IT
