OBJECTIVE: Formation of knowledge and skills to support youth employment and motivation for professional realization of young people at risk of dropping out of school. The tasks are organized in 5 clusters: school work - acting as a co-teacher or a teaching assistant to one of our resource teachers/psychologists; office work - contribution to the daily work of our office, including maintaing a volunteer blog and FB account; summer school - direct work with SEN students during an annual event organized by the Regional Center for the Support of the Process of Inclusive education; youth work - organizing some events with other youths; multicultural dialogue - organoization of a cultural evening, going to festivals, ets. Akkomodazzjoni, ikel u arranġamenti tat-trasport
Accomodation is organized in a condo with 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, and a shared kitchen and a living room. We cover all costs for the condo - rent, heating, electricity, water, so on. We provide money for your daily needs - pocket money and money for food. In addition, we provide a free card for the public transport. You organize and pay the on-ward transport by yourself and once here - we reimburse the spent sum up to the threshold set by ESC programme. We organize and pay the return travel.
Taħriġ matul l-attività
The training oportunities are provided mainly with the help of mentors during the work process. Further, when we have any event, we invite our volunteers, either.
Profil tal-parteċipant
We are looking for motivated young persons age 18-30, 2 girls and a boy. As our work is focused on children and youn persons in vulnarable situations, we prefer our volunteers to have some experience and/or background in teaching, pedagogy, psychology, social work and similar. We are looking for open-minded, communicative persons who are ready to live by them own. They shall speak English at B2 level - we are not looking for perfect English but we have to be able to communicate freely with them.
