Yamochori is a Project that started two years ago in a village of Etoloakarnania, in Makria Logka. It is a village of few permanent residents with a great need for activism strengthening the youth of the area, environmental awareness and mobilization. This is the reason why we consider to integrate into our small community additional volunteers through the ESC program. Our organization already have volunteers through other internationals networks, but we believe that the ESC program will enhance its longevity. Our field operates as the village square as it is open to everyone without a fence, is a meeting point and interaction, a school for the development of farming methods for farmers, building techniques for the builders, improving learning and teaching methods for teachers, raising awareness about climate crisis, recycling, zero waste, processing, composting etc. Read more here https://www.yamochori.com/yamochoriprojects-1/esc-in-yamochori-2024
Akkomodazzjoni, ikel u arranġamenti tat-trasport
The accommodation of the participants will take place in a house next to Yamochori. It is a village house which has a kitchen, two bedrooms, one outdoor toilet with shower and washing machine. The village is very small and the closest market is in 4 km from the place. It is a different way of living, far away from harsh and speed of a big city. Transportations arrange to Thermo, Kallithea and to Agrinio by car two days per week
Taħriġ matul l-attività
Participation in the organization, design and implementation of main infrastructure of our farm which contain woodwork, natural building, traditional methods with stones, drywalls and a lot of DIY. Participation in the organization, planning and implementation of the permaculture design of our farm. Participation in other projects that we run in the area like school gardening, cleaning paths and local events Participation in erasmus plus projects that we run in our farm. Participation in English lessons to the locals and general create thematic workshops.

-20-30 years old (not older than 31 on the 1st of July 2023) -Legal resident of one of the Erasmus+ programme countries + does not require a visa to enter Greece -Eager to learn or already have the knowledge or experience with the thematic of the project -Enthusiastic with hands-on activities. -Eager to take initiatives and create opportunities for themselves and society. -Ready to live in a rural environment with basic conditions for 3 months. -Ready to be challenged into aligning together with people from different cultures into making together a sustainable community.
