Opis
• Sustainable management of agricultural resources and greenhouse production on the property. • Working with individuals with mental health challenges through occupational and creative activities on the property. • Maintenance and independent management of the property, with a focus on ecology and agriculture. • Creating and leading workshops with target groups, such as the elderly, and people with disabilities and mental health challenges. • Participation in the preparation and organization of summer volunteer camps. LOCATION OF ACTIVITIES: The Caritas Valjevo property in the village of Jovanja is located 7 km from Valjevo. Valjevo is a city in Western Serbia, less than 100 km from Belgrade. The site features a two-story house surrounded by a large yard with an orchard, a 300 m² greenhouse for vegetable cultivation, and recreational space. A river flows through the property, providing a peaceful and natural environment for work and stay.
Ubytovanie, strava a doprava
Volunteers will be housed in a comfortable two-story house on the property. The house is equipped with essential facilities, such as appliances, internet, kitchenware, and bathrooms on both floors. The ground floor includes a living room, kitchen, bathroom, and a workshop room, while the upper floor has three rooms for use. The ground floor also serves as a space for Caritas Valjevo activities and programs for members of other associations.
Odborná príprava počas činnosti
During their stay, volunteers will receive training in agriculture, greenhouse production, and property maintenance to enable independent work and caretaking. They will also learn about the work of Caritas and methodologies for working with individuals with mental health challenges. We invite all interested individuals to apply and become part of our team, where through engagement on the property in Jovanja, they will contribute to community development, personal growth, and the acquisition of new skills!
Profil účastníka
• Age between 25 and 35 years. • English language skills at a minimum B1 level • Valid driver’s license (Category B). • Previous experience in agriculture and fieldwork is preferred. • Open to working with vulnerable groups. • Volunteers should be prepared for independent work as well as participation in leading team activities. • Willingness to work in a multicultural environment (Caritas Valjevo actively includes volunteers from Italy).
