Opis
Guardavanti is a non-profit organization involved in local cooperation, promoting solidarity at home and in developing countries. The volunteer will be integrated in the team and will have the opportunity to play an active role in implementing activities. You will be involved in the following activities: • Support global citizenship education activities in schools • Help the integration of communities of Italian and foreign origin • Organization of events to promote the activities of the association • Help in the management of the Guardavanti website and social networks • In case of the availability of projects in developing countries you will be asked to give a support to the person in charge of project • Organization of activities designed by volunteers. • In summer, volunteers will be ask to support summer camps for children.
Ubytovanie, strava a doprava
GuardAvanti will provide an apartment in Varese, shared between volunteers. The volunteers will live in DOUBLE rooms. A pocket money (6 euro per day) will be provided together an allowance for food (160 euro per month), thanks to which volunteer can shop and cook meals at home. The travel expenses will be refunded on the basis defined by the European Commission. The activities will take place in Varese, and sometimes also in different locations around Somma Lombardo, Milano and its province. Volunteers should bring with them laptop as some part of activities will be done in remote mode.
Odborná príprava počas činnosti
Volunteer will participate in the On Arrival Training organized by the Italian National Agency. Associazione No Borders, the coordinating organization will organize an on arrival training and a mid term evaluation with the volunteers and tutors of GuardAvanti.
Profil účastníka
Available for the WHOLE duration of the project: February - August 2025. Legally resident in the EU • Proactive, open-minded, respectful • Interested in working with children and young people • Ready to work on events • Willing to do office and administrative work, knows how to use Microsoft 365, Google Docs and Social Media • Has previous experiences in volunteering • Has an interest in: interculturality, human rights, education • Has basic Italian or strong motivation to learn it. We expect your CV and Motivation to be in ENGLISH!
