Looking for a meaningful way to spend your summer? Our Volunteer in Summer Camps Volunteer Project offers the chance to bring joy, learning, and opportunities to children in rural communities near Miercurea Ciuc. Through engaging summer camps, volunteers facilitate non-formal and informal learning activities that emphasize social interaction and the development of foreign language skills. Designed to be both educational and fun, these camps move beyond traditional classroom settings, inspiring children to embrace English as a practical and enjoyable skill for their future. As a volunteer, you’ll: Help children overcome language barriers through interactive games and activities. Create opportunities for kids to experience teamwork and social connection in a positive environment. Inspire children to view English as a useful and accessible tool for their future.
Akkomodazzjoni, ikel u arranġamenti tat-trasport
Accommodation: volunteers will live in a fully furnished accommodation in the town, max. 2 participants in the same room, with gender-separated rooms, a well-equipped kitchen, bathrooms with toilets and showers, and free Wi-Fi included. Food: volunteers can use their food budget (150 EUR/month) to cater for themselves. They will receive 120 EUR/month pocket money. Transport arrangements: volunteers will receive bicycles to get around town; international travel expenses will be reimbursed according to the ESC Programme Guide, and green travel is required.
Taħriġ matul l-attività
Training will happen upon your arrival. You will take part in a city tour, and meet your future mentor. We will also make sure you take part in the training organized by the Romanian NA: the On-Arrival Training. For the activities, you will be fully presented with the details once you arrive and will be given all the necessary resources to do your research and prepare. We will encourage you to use the General Online Training.
Profil tal-parteċipant
We are looking for 4 volunteers between 18 and 30 years old who have the urge to develop their communication and cooperation skills and to recognize their strengths and weaknesses within a team; want to improve their practical skills in the planning and implementation of activities, want to have a meaningful contribution to society, wishes to step out of their comfort zone, who is responsible, flexible, motivated, open-minded and able to attend the full duration of the project. The volunteers are encouraged to be creative, and proactive, to come up with new ideas, and to use their skills.
