We invite young people aged 18-30 to participate in volunteer work with children and teenagers SUMMER CAMP, from 16.06.-05.07.2025. The project will take place in two locations - the volunteer will have the opportunity to know Latvia's both- the urban (capital Riga) and the rural environments (Vanes parish). The volunteers together with the children: will be able to go on expeditions through the natural meadows of the beautiful valleys of Abava river, meet with local residents and specialists of the meadow protection association; will make digital and printed educational magazine will be created in Latvian and English about the flora and fauna of the natural meadows of Latvia; will visit to a farm that is managed according to permaculture principles - there will be an opportunity to make practical objects of clay and straw; will learn skills in cooking in an outdoor environment; will celebrate the most important Latvian national holiday - the Sumer Solstice Festival.
Akkomodazzjoni, ikel u arranġamenti tat-trasport
The project will take place in two locations: From 16.06 to 26.06. preparation for the camp- the planning of strategies and necessary materials- will take place in Riga, the capital city of Latvia. Living in a sports center service hotel, in double rooms. There will be the kitchen with food ingredients and necessary kitchen utensils. Near the hotel is train station, public transport. From 27.06-06.07, the practical part of the camp will take place in rural area. Living in a guest house in Vānes parish in double rooms. There will be 4 meals per day. The means of transport will be by bus.
Profil tal-parteċipant
Whereas volunteers will create activities in children summer camp, the participant must be motivated work with children and teenagers. According to laws of Latvia, volunteers must have a certificate of no criminal record.
