NGO MONDO

CIVS COMMUNITY SERVICE

NAIROBI, il-Kenja

Deskrizzjoni

The project, led by CIVS Kenya, takes place at the CIVS Resource Centers in the Kano Plains region of Kisumu County, specifically in Nyakach and Kuth Awendo. These centers are lively community hubs offering ICT training, climate-smart agriculture, tree planting, and early childhood education. Many young people and vulnerable children in the area lack access to digital skills that could transform their future. As a volunteer, you’ll help bridge this gap by supporting digital literacy and ICT-based learning programs that empower local youth and school children. Your contribution will help expand their educational and employment opportunities, while strengthening community resilience in a region facing growing climate and economic challenges.

Akkomodazzjoni, ikel u arranġamenti tat-trasport

Accommodation will be arranged at a shared rented flat within the region with a bathroom and toilet. CIVS will furnish the room with a few pieces of furniture and basic equipment for the kitchen and bathroom. The apartment will have electricity and water, though volunteers may on some occasions experience disruptions of these services. Volunteers will be taught how to clean their own clothes using their hands by our local mentors. Volunteers will prepare their own meals at the apartment. Transport to the projects is by motorcycle. Transport to the market, and to Kisumu City is by public vans.
