As part of our "Aid With Heart for Humanity (AHH)" project, we invite dedicated individuals to volunteer in Togo with Hälsa International. You will contribute to improving the lives of street-connected children and young girls through various initiatives, including supporting alternative street schools, organizing arts and photography workshops, and engaging in advocacy activities that empower youth and children as active participants in shaping their futures. This opportunity offers a unique cultural exchange while allowing you to develop personally and professionally. As a volunteer, you will work alongside local staff, helping to collect essential data, support local actors, and enhance social programs designed for vulnerable children and young women. Be a part of meaningful change—support sustainable and inclusive development in Togo, gain valuable skills, and make a real impact in the lives of those who need it most.
Akkomodazzjoni, ikel u arranġamenti tat-trasport
Volunteers will stay in a guesthouse with a private room, electricity, drinking water, and internet access (internet bills are the volunteer’s responsibility). Groceries will be provided by the organization, and volunteers will prepare their own meals. Transportation from the airport to the accommodation and back will be arranged by Hälsa International. Daily commuting is usually on foot or by car, depending on the project location.
Taħriġ matul l-attività
Volunteers will receive induction training on local culture, working methods, and basic Ewe language. They will be introduced to local authorities and the EU representation in Togo. Quarterly evaluation workshops will assess their progress. Continuous support will be provided by the project manager, including guidance on cultural adaptation and community integration. Peer learning sessions and capacity-building activities with local staff are also part of the training process.
Profil tal-parteċipant
We are looking for motivated and compassionate volunteers aged 18-35, with a strong sense of responsibility, openness to different cultures, and a willingness to work with vulnerable children and young girls. Some basic knowledge of French is preferred, as it will ease communication. Ideal candidates should be adaptable, empathetic, and capable of working in diverse teams. Experience in education, social work, or working with children is an asset. A commitment to social justice, equality, and human rights is highly valued.
