Long summer days, sweet organic smells! Join us at organic farm in Jurovski Dol for the sweetest harvesting of all: lavender! We will harvest a small field of lavender and produce the essential oil. We will also work with other herbs (wild thyme, melissa, mint ...), and produce some tinctures and teas. What about some black current? Some juicing, some marmalading? Besides the harvesting and the transformation of the flowers and the fruits into the enjoyable food products, we will also do some maintenance work in our different (small-scale) plantations, e.g. weeding or hoeing in the vineyard or in our meadow orchard. We will also try to rejuvenate our lavender field after the harvest and replant some plants. We will find a good balance between the physical work in the sun and the creative learning, expressing and staying together. We will also organise a cultural event with an organic catering for the local community with a big summer opening of our LIBRARY UNDER THE TREETOPS.

You will be accommodated in the gymnasium of the local school. Each participant will be able to use one gymnastics mat as a mattress. Same-sex shared bathrooms will be at your disposal, with 3 showers/toilets for women and 3 for men. Hot water is ensured all the time. The school is 7 minutes walking distance from the organic farm of Zelena centrala, where all of our activities will be held. The gymnasium and its facilities will be accessible to all participants 24/7 through the entire period. We provide 100% organic and local food for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Green transport guaranteed.

AGRI-CULTURE IS THE FUTURE! This opportunity is a great chance to dive into the complex questions of sustainability, food security and self-sufficiency, biodiversity, and climate change and learn about them through experience and work on a small organic farm, full of creativity, fun and good vibes with enthusiastic and experienced mentors. Specialised workshops on essential oil production, tinctures, juicing and marmalading, as well as cooking with local and organic ingredients. Theoretical & practical workshops on organic maintenance of vineyard and orchards. Creative writing&storytelling.

The obstacles are only the additional incentives for your creativity, and you are not afraid of physical work outdoors - meaning also adapting to the unpredictable summer weather conditions? You should not be afraid of nature, team work, and of living in a rural place, away from the city comforts.
