Youth Work at Park In Youth Center

Deskrizzjoni

The target group of “park in” is youngsters between 12 and 19 years, coming from different social and educational backgrounds. Most of the young visitors live in the communities between Innsbruck and Hall in Tirol and spend their leisure time in and around the youth center. They are supported by youth workers and can talk to them about their interests and needs. Also counselling sessions are provided by the Youth Work team. Teenagers can seek support or advice from the youth workers or can simply spend their free time at the youth center and meet their friends. Akkomodazzjoni, ikel u arranġamenti tat-trasport

The project is located centrally in the community of Hall in Tirol, which is 10 minutes by train from the regional capital Innsbruck. Hall in Tirol has around 14.000 inhabitants, good infrastructure, is a touristic town. The volunteer’s flat is next to the youth center. It is a one-room-apartment, fully equipped with a kitchen block and a bathroom. Be aware that you live exactly where the youth center is located and sometimes, youngsters gather close-by in the evening. The area is safe and the youth center and the flat are located very centrally in Hall in Tirol.

Taħriġ matul l-attività

 being part of the multi-professional “park in”-team  supporting the youth workers in the youth center  getting in to contact with youngsters actively  planning and organising youth leisure activities and events together with colleagues and youngsters  working at the Youth Café and doing basic cooking for and with youngsters  working with kids and youngsters (supporting them in spending their free-time in the youth center, for example playing different games, sports, talking, participating in activities with them)  using creativity to generate new ideas with young people

Profil tal-parteċipant

 someone who is between 18 and 30 years old (working experiences are welcome)  someone who is curious to learn and to work in a supportive team  someone who is open minded, communicative and self-confident  someone who is interested in the issues of the youngsters  someone who brings in his/her own passions like sport, creativity, music etc.  someone who is motivated to learn the German language
