Opis
Tasks: - Support the management of the central pharmacy and intermediate pharmacies, guaranteeing compliance with institutional procedures and quality standards; Control and record the inputs, outputs and inventories of medicines and medical supplies in the Activity Info system; Ensure proper storage, maintenance and organisation of medicines and medical supplies, coordinating with the technical and logistics team, ensuring compliance with Good Storage Practices; Ensure the quality of medicines and medical supplies procured and distributed in the framework of MdM projects, assessing if necessary the quality management system of national pharmaceutical distributors; Collaborate in the identification of gaps and good practices in pharmacy management in the region (Guatemala Honduras El Salvador); Contribute to the implementation of common monitoring tools (formats, registers, operational manuals, checklists) to ensure quality, traceability and transparency in the management of supplies.

Volunteer headquarters will be in Tegucigalpa and s/he will travel to the department of Cortes where we have an MdM office to support the teams working on different projects. The volunteer will be accommodated in one of the houses of MdM and will receive a monthly allowance to cover his/her food expenses of 700 €. Accommodation; return flights; visa and vaccination costs; health insurance; and basic equipment (laptop & mobile phone) will be provided and covered during deployment. Transportation and accommodation will also be provided and covered for all work-related travel.
Odborná príprava počas činnosti
Volunteers will improve their professional knowledge through training in humanitarian action, and specific issues on security, gender, psychosocial support and will be provided with training resources to continue their learning. Those selected will receive briefings/training at MdM headquarters in Madrid with the different departments related to the mission and the position, as well as mandatory online training on environmental issues before they start their field work. Training sessions will take place both in the countries of the support and host organisations.
Profil účastníka
The volunteer will join the MdM team in Honduras and will work in coordination with the MdM headquarters in Madrid. At the field level, he/she will be under the responsibility of the Honduras Support Coordination. - University degree in Pharmacy or related to the position. Other profiles with training in pharmaceutical management or pharmaceutical logistics will be valued. Training or experience in inventory management and warehouse or pharmacy management. - Advanced use of Office. - Regular use of internet and e-mail. - Use of design programs (will be valued). - Spanish essential/ English very favourable. - Experience with NGOs (will be valued). - Proactivity, organisation, autonomy and dynamism. - Ability to work as part of a team. - Ability to adapt to different conditions and contexts. - Respect for cultural differences (local customs and traditions). - Risk perception and respect for safety regulations. - Self-care and stress management. - Availability of time and flexibility to carry out activities. Eligibility : Candidates must be 18 to 35 years old, reside in one of the eligible countries (EU Member State, North Macedonia, Iceland, Liechtenstein or Turkey), have completed the compulsory Humanitarian Aid Volunteering training and not have participated before in individual Humanitarian Aid Volunteering. When adding together this new volunteering opportunity and any previous participation in EU volunteering programmes, the total duration cannot exceed 12 months.
