At the beginning of the excavation, the removal of the top layer of humus is done by hand, which is of course not too hard, but still only physical work (spade, shovel, pick, wheelbarrow). Once we reach the archaeological strata - in our case we have to reckon with graves - the skeletons are excavated and prepared for documentation. This requires a much more detailed fine breakdown with small tools (spatula, charcoal shovel, brush, etc.). After documentation, the frames are picked up and packaged. The packaging is done in paper bags and boxes according to the specified order. Documentation We photograph and draw the archaeological phenomena (Layers, pits, structures, graves, etc.) to be discovered, and we also make photo 3D documentation .
Akkomodazzjoni, ikel u arranġamenti tat-trasport
ACCOMODATION: The participants will be hosted in Youth Hostel. The volunteers will be set in Kinizsi Turistaszálló (8291-Nagyvázsony, Klastrom utca 1. Hungary) , a Hostel very close to the castle and it is in the center of the village (2 min walking) and to the main activity space. The Youth Hostel has all the furniture to allow a comfortable stay. There is a kitchen, washing machine, 3 bathrooms, and Wi-fi connection. FOOD: Every volunteer will get money for cooking them self. TRANSPORT: In Nagyvázsony we don't have distance. Everybody is walking.
Taħriġ matul l-attività
We will organise an On Arrival Training Course for the volunteers. The goal of the training to get to know each other, to doscover the programme and some basic information archeology. We will inform them about Youthpass, Henner insurence and ESC in generaly.
