The volunteer will work with elderly people in a retirement home in Cannes. The project activities include : - Creating and taking part in activities (music, creative workshops, games, themed evenings, movie nights, DIY, gymnastics etc.) - Going along with residents on outings (going to cultural activites outside, going on strolls, but also going to the hairdresser or to other appointments) - Creation of a social and intergenerational bond - Help residents in their daily life (moving around, eating, getting up) - Visiting isolated seniors and/or seniors without families - Offer some time for discussion, newspaper reading The volunteer can suggest projects according to their interests
Настаняване, хранене и транспорт
The volunteer will have a flat in the placement ; the food will be provided.
Обучение по време на дейността
The volunteer will take part in three seminars organised by the lead organisation, and two seminars organised by the ESC Agency.
Профил на участника
There is no skills needed for this activity, excepting being motivated to work with elderly people. The basics of french is highly recommended to communicate with the host organisation.
