Opis
S'Einlädele coordinates various projects in Freiburg, focusing on humanitarian aid for Ukraine, with over 30 yrs of experience. We are looking for volunteers who want to get involved. This particular project is work in a social protection centers for Ukrainian children and youth. It provides specialized care, accommodation and support for refugee children. Tasks: Helping with homework, organizing leisure activities (sports, outdoors, board games, handicrafts), day to day support (shopping with children, cleaning rooms, accompanying them to appointments, cooking together), planning and implementing events and projects. Locations: Freiburg/Germany and in Bad Krozingen, a smaller town nearby. Volunteers are part of a professional team in the shelter, but also part of a group of volunteers working in various locations. As part of the ESC, regular activities on political and sustainability topics take place, with active participation expected. Start Mar/Apr2026, 10-12months
Ubytovanie, strava a doprava
Accomodation: volunteers flat together in groups of 2-6 international persons. Food and transport: During working hours food is provided for volunteers. For the other meals, volunteers receive money according to German budget regulations for volunteering. Also a certain amount for transport is provided, which allows volunteers buying a monthly ticket. Language course: volunteers attend language courses at an evening school for learning/improving their language skills.
Odborná príprava počas činnosti
Volunteers attend an on-arrival-training (7 days) as well as a mid-term-meeting (5 days). Regular sessions about political issues and sustainability are offered and volunteers are expected to play an active role. We would be very happy, if volunteers are willing to take over responsibility and like to initiate own (small or big) projects.
Profil účastníka
Applicants need to be open to working in an organization with a Christian profile and community life. We cooperate mainly with disadvantaged volunteers. In your application you need to make clear, which obstacles you are facing. According to priorities of ESC a program to political and sustainable issues take place regularely and volunteers are expected to participant actively. You also need to answer the following questions: Why do you want to work in our organization? Do you have experiences working with children/refugees? What are your learning expectation during this year of volunteering? Are you open to learning more about political issues and sustainability? If you ignore these questions, we can not consider your application.
