Generation for Change CY is a grassroots NGO working towards a diverse and equitable society in Cyprus. We support and empower marginalized communities, i.e., refugees and migrants, while advocating for social justice and intercultural dialogue. We are seeking 3 motivated young individuals aged 18-30 who are eager to make a meaningful, practical contribution to our education and integration programs. Specifically, looking for 1 individual interested in joining our English-language teaching activities (i.e., participation in relevant EU-funded projects) working on projects with young people, including sports, and 1 individual in our material support program assisting refugees and migrants in Cyprus. Weekly working time is 30 hours (4 days per week). Akkomodazzjoni, ikel u arranġamenti tat-trasport
A.1. Monthly stipend of 400 EUR for personal expenses and food. B.1. Accommodation and related expenses fully covered, including utilities. B.2. Note: Participants from Cyprus may opt to stay in their own accommodation and receive a monthly allowance of 100–150 EUR to cover car expenses and home utility bills. C.1. Travel expenses to and from Cyprus fully covered. D.1. Medical insurance coverage (if not already covered by the participant).
Taħriġ matul l-attività
Participants will receive tailored training and supervision according to their role, whether in language teaching, antiracism and gender equality work, psychosocial or employment activities, sports-based youth engagement, material support, or communications. All volunteers will also receive cross-cutting training on safeguarding, intercultural competence, inclusive practices, community engagement, and effective teamwork.
Profil tal-parteċipant
We are seeking three motivated young individuals aged 18–30 who are eager to make a meaningful and practical contribution to our education and integration programmes. Each volunteer will take on a distinct role within the organisation. Volunteer Positions: 1) English Language Teaching Volunteer (1 position) The volunteer will support English language teaching activities for refugees and migrants, including participation in relevant EU-funded education and integration projects. Tasks may include assisting teachers, supporting learners, preparing materials, and contributing to educational activities. 2) Material Support Program Volunteer (1 position) The volunteer will support the organisation and delivery of material assistance to refugees and migrants in Cyprus. Tasks include assisting with donations management, sorting and distribution of items, supporting outreach to vulnerable households, and contributing to community support actions. 3) Project Officer Volunteer - Youth Empowerment, Sports & Education (1 position) The volunteer will support the implementation of youth empowerment projects, with a focus on education- and sports-based activities. Tasks may include assisting in project coordination, activity preparation, participant engagement, and contributing to EU-funded projects involving young people.
