Green Growth - REGIONAL CLEANING ACTIONS

ASOCIATIA DE TINERI DIN ARDEAL

Cristuru Secuiesc, ir-Rumanija

Deskrizzjoni

Green Growth is a team volunteering project implemented within the framework of the European Solidarity Corps. The project takes place in a small rural town of Cristuru Secuiesc and its surrounding villages. It focuses on two main objectives. We aim to provide young people living in rural areas with knowledge and practical skills related to sustainability, recycling, and environmental responsibility. Many of them have limited access to learning opportunities in these topics, so we will use non-formal education methods such as workshops, interactive activities, and community events. Second, we will organize community clean-up actions and actively involve at least 200 local participants alongside international volunteers. To support these goals, we will also launch a communication campaign to raise awareness and promote environmentally friendly habits within the wider community. The house is fully furnished and equipped with a spacious kitchen including 3 fridges, a stove, microwave, dishes, and all necessary furniture. There are two bathrooms with toilets, showers, a washing machine, and cleaning appliances. The house has five large bedrooms with beds and furniture, plus electricity, gas, hot and cold water, and Wi-Fi. Each volunteer receives €139.95 duration of the project food and pocket money. All accommodation and utility costs are covered, and international travel is reimbursed.

Taħriġ matul l-attività

Selected volunteers will take part in several trainings. Before the project, they join an online pre-departure training covering basic Hungarian language, non-formal education and local culture. After arrival, an on-arrival training helps them get to know each other, the venue and deepen prior knowledge. At the end, a final evaluation training supports reflection on how to use the gained knowledge and experience in the future.

Profil tal-parteċipant

We are looking for young people aged 18–30 who are interested in sustainability and recycling, are not afraid to get their hands dirty, and are motivated to work with communities that have fewer opportunities. Ideal candidates enjoy teamwork but are also capable of implementing their own ideas independently.
