Deskrizzjoni

This role is required to support the Project Coordination teams in the following project/programme management functions, specifically: - Supporting the achievement of results and objectives for all projects/programmes in which the organisation is involved in the country. - Contributing to the annual planning of projects/programmes in line with the organisation’s annual operational plan and the country strategy. - Participating in the identification and formulation of projects/programmes. - Participating in the establishment of project/programme baselines. - Contributing to the development, improvement, planning and implementation of activities, including cross-cutting approaches. - Monitoring and evaluating project progress by regularly visiting and participating in field activities and establishing strategies for reorientation or improvement where necessary. - Support the preparation of reports for donors and HQ.

Akkomodazzjoni, ikel u arranġamenti tat-trasport

Living conditions in Guatemala are comfortable. All basic services and recreational facilities are easily accessible. The volunteer will be accommodated in one of the office houses of MdM or its counterparts and will receive a monthly allowance to cover his/her food expenses of 791EUR. Accommodation; return flights; visa and vaccination costs; health insurance; and basic equipment (laptops and telephone) will be provided and covered during deployment. Transportation and accommodation will also be provided and covered for all work-related travel. 

Taħriġ matul l-attività

Volunteers will improve their knowledge through training in humanitarian action, and specific issues on security, gender, psychosocial support and will be provided with training resources to continue their learning. Those selected will receive briefings/training at MdM headquarters in Madrid with the different departments related to the mission and the position, as well as mandatory online training on security and cross-cutting issues before they start their field work. Training sessions will take place both in the countries of the support and host organisations.

- Workplace skills in multicultural environments. - Strategic vision, leadership, teamwork, collaboration and resilience to stress. - Technical/financial management, monitoring, evaluation and planning of projects/programmes. - Working towards objectives/targets. - Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and the Internet). Communication skills and proficiency with social media. - Spoken and written Spanish essential. Eligibility : Candidates must be 18 to 35 years old, reside in one of the eligible countries (EU Member State, North Macedonia, Iceland, Liechtenstein or Turkey), have completed the compulsory Humanitarian Aid Volunteering training and not have participated before in individual Humanitarian Aid Volunteering. When adding together this new volunteering opportunity and any previous participation in EU volunteering programmes, the total duration cannot exceed 12 months.
