The call for applications is now open for a team volunteering project with European Solidarity Corps, taking place from June 1st to June 21st in Lorca (Murcia, Spain). The project will bring together a group of 8 young participants from different countries, working collaboratively on initiatives focused on social inclusion, diversity, and human rights, with a particular emphasis on the LGBTIQ+ community The activities will be carried out in cooperation with Cazalla Intercultural and Lorca Iris, involving volunteers in non-formal education, youth engagement, event organization, content creation, and community awareness-raising. Throughout the project, participants will work in an intercultural environment that promotes teamwork, active participation, and the development of both personal and professional competences This experience represents a valuable opportunity for organizing 3 local prides/parades, cultural exchange, and social commitment and contributing to youth empowerment
Akkomodazzjoni, ikel u arranġamenti tat-trasport
Accommodation will be provided in a shared flat.The apartment is fully equipped and includes a kitchen, living room, bathroom, and Wi-Fi access. It is located approximately 20 minutes on foot or 10 minutes by bus from the main activity locations, including the youth centre and the university campus in Lorca. Volunteers will receive a monthly food allowance of 105€, in addition to a daily pocket money of 6€, both transferred to their bank accounts within the first days of each month. These provisions are intended to cover basic living expenses
Taħriġ matul l-attività
Participants will receive internal training upon arrival, including an introduction to the European Solidarity Corps (ESC) programme to ensure a clear understanding of its framework, objectives, and their role within it. In addition, volunteers will take part in thematic training focused on LGBTIQ+ issues and queer perspectives, aimed at strengthening their knowledge in the field of inclusion and human rights. The programme will also include group cohesion and team-building sessions designed to foster effective collaboration, intercultural understanding, and collective work dynamics
Profil tal-parteċipant
Age: 18 to 30 years old. Residence: 2 residents from Spain, 5 from EU countries, and 1 from a partner country. Previous Experience: Candidates must not have participated in EVS or ESC projects exceeding 11 months in total before. Legal Requirement: Must provide an updated sexual offense certificate and have no prior record of a sexual nature. Availability: Full availability from June 1st to June 21st (excluding two travel days). Technical Skills: Basic to intermediate proficiency in content creation, visibility, graphic design, organizing events, public speaking.. Motivation: Strong motivation for youth work, Queer topic, logostic tasks, and online presence on social media. Languages: Basic level of English or Spanish
