Opis
As a VolunteerIKS with Association IKS, you will play a key role in helping communities affected by the earthquake in Petrinja and the wider Sisak-Moslavina County. Our team works to rebuild lives and tackle poverty, social exclusion, and other local challenges. You will engage with vulnerable groups, including people with disabilities, seniors, children, and youth, organizing workshops, sports, creative sessions, and cultural exchanges. Your role promotes solidarity, inclusion, and diversity, reconnecting communities and supporting local partners. You will also have the chance to learn from experienced mentors, adapt to post-crisis realities, bridge language barriers, and develop your social and youth work skills. Ubytovanie, strava a doprava
During your stay in Petrinja you'll be accommodated in the ''Volunteer flat'' that has shared bedrooms(2 persons), kitchen, living room, bathroom, 3 balconies and WIFI . All house utensils are provided by the hosting organization (towels, bed sheets and similar).The apartment is located 10 minutes by foot from the main working premises. For transportation to/from activities we use the company van or local buses. You'll receive a monthly allowance - pocket money and living costs to manage your food and daily life. All costs of transport, accommodation and living are covered.
Odborná príprava počas činnosti
Volunteer induction training upon arrival to the community; On arrival training organised by the National Agency; Mid-term training organised by the National Agency; Target group and task related trainings; other opportunities that the HO and other partners provide for the volunteers depending on their specific needs and interests
