Opis
The volunteer will join the ASPEm team within the ACT4PEACE project, supporting the organization’s digital communication focused on promoting content related to human rights, cooperation and educational projects. Their role will contribute to transforming humanitarian and development actions into accessible content, promoting sustainability values. They will support the creation of visual materials (infographics, carousels, short videos), content writing, and the daily management of social media, fostering interaction with the community. They will also collaborate on digital fundraising campaigns and in organizing materials using tools such as Google Workspace. Activities will be carried out in coordination with the team, at the ASPEm office in Lima, in educational centres, and other community settings. The volunteer will have autonomous tasks but will always be supported, without replacing staff. A commitment of 30 to 40 hours per week is expected (excluding transport time).
Ubytovanie, strava a doprava
The volunteer will be accommodated in a house located in a safe and residential area, close to the hosting organization, ensuring connectivity and access to public transport networks. They will have individual rooms and shared spaces (living room, dining room, kitchen), with all basic services guaranteed (water, gas, electricity, and internet). The surrounding environment provides access to essential services such as supermarkets, healthcare facilities, and a diverse range of food options (including vegetarian and vegan), as well as access to a healthcare network.
Odborná príprava počas činnosti
The volunteer will be part of an active collaboration space, supported by the team to develop their ideas and with access to NGO methodologies and working tools, gaining sector-specific competences and professionalizing their work in the social field. They will learn communication strategies within an international social impact project. They will participate in a training on the local context safety, and adaptation. Key competences such as teamwork, autonomy, time management and communication will be strengthened. All acquired competences will be certified through Youthpass.
Profil účastníka
A volunteer profile oriented towards digital communication is sought, with recommended knowledge of design tools such as Canva or Adobe and familiarity with Google Workspace. Interest or knowledge in sustainability and human development will be valued, as well as an intermediate to advanced level of Spanish and English. Skills in social media and digital culture are considered desirable. At a transversal level, key competences include teamwork in intercultural contexts, adaptability, autonomy, organization, proactivity, willingness to learn, and problem-solving skills. Candidates must be between 18 and 35 years old, reside in one of the eligible countries (EU Member States, North Macedonia, Iceland, Liechtenstein, or Türkiye), have completed the mandatory training in humanitarian aid volunteering, and must not have previously participated in an individual humanitarian aid volunteering. The total duration of this and any previous EU volunteering experience cannot exceed 12 months. The selection process will start from the week of May 11.
