"Kabutze" is an open sewing studio in Greifswald, Germany, a small city near the Polish-German border and at the Baltic Sea. The project offers practical sewing and upcycling activities and aims to educate the public about global (in)justice connected with fashion, e.g. with street-events, workshops, film screenings and other activities. Akkomodazzjoni, ikel u arranġamenti tat-trasport
Accommodation is in a shared flat with other international volunteers or local students. You will have your own room. You will receive food allowance each month and are responsible for your meals yourself. You will receive a monthly travel ticket.
Taħriġ matul l-attività
You will participate in two seminar weeks organized by the German national agency: the on arrival training and midterm evaluation. Both take place somewhere in Germany, together with other ESC volunteers. Moreover, you will be part of the international seminar group of our coordinating organisation "Turbina Pomerania". You can find infos on the seminars here: https://turbina-pomerania.org/en/seminars. Lastly, we offer a German class with a professional German teacher.
Profil tal-parteċipant
We don't search the perfect volunteer. Most important is your honest and genuine interest in the project's topic: fair fashion & upcycling. It would be very helpful if you have basic German skills and/or skills with sewing and other handicrafts.
