The YouFuture project is an ESC Volunteering Teams in High Priority Areas programme in Kállósemjén, Hungary. During the 30-day activity, international volunteers will learn about disaster preparedness, community resilience, first aid, crisis awareness and solidarity. The programme combines workshops, simulations, field visits, teamwork, intercultural learning and community activities. Participants will explore disaster prevention, evacuation procedures, fire prevention, flood protection, war awareness and humanitarian education. Volunteers will also create awareness-raising materials and support local community actions for children, young people and adults. The project aims to strengthen practical emergency-response skills, active citizenship, cooperation and intercultural dialogue.

Настаняване, хранене и транспорт

Participants will stay in shared accommodation provided by KDIE in Kállósemjén. The houses include shared rooms, kitchens, bathrooms, WiFi, washing facilities and community spaces. Meals can be prepared individually or together in the equipped kitchens. Volunteers will receive €7 per day as pocket money and €7 per day as food allowance. KDIE will provide mentoring, coordination and practical support during the whole programme. Local transport will mainly be by bicycle, walking and public transport when needed. Travel costs will be reimbursed according to ESC distance band rules.

Volunteers will take part in a structured 30-day learning programme based on non-formal education, practical exercises, peer learning, teamwork and reflection. Training topics include first aid, emergency response, disaster preparedness, evacuation simulations, fire prevention, flood protection, crisis-management role plays and community resilience. The programme also includes humanitarian education and war awareness through discussions, field visits and guided reflection. Participants will prepare awareness campaigns and prevention materials to share their learning locally.

Профил на участника

We are looking for motivated young volunteers who are open to learning, teamwork, intercultural cooperation, and active participation.

Participants should be culturally engaged, creative, active, open-minded, team-oriented, responsible, and open to new experiences. They should be able to communicate in English and be ready to cooperate with people from different cultural backgrounds.

We welcome volunteers who are solution-oriented, tolerant, respectful, organized, and willing to take responsibility during the programme. Participants should be interested in disaster preparedness, climate-change-related topics, community resilience, humanitarian issues, and local community work.

No professional background is required. Motivation, openness, active participation, and willingness to learn are the most important qualities.
