Opis
The volunteer will be an ambassador of Europe and mobility in the Maison Familiale Rurale of Craon Oudon which in a rural associative middle and high school with general classes and vocational trainings. He/she will promote the EU opportunities and mobility programmes among the student and support the Erasmus+ Team of the school for example by developping partnerships with other rural schools in Europe to engage new mobilities. The volunteer will also contribute to the daily life of the school: administrative tasks, supporting teenagers with homework, co-animation of workshops or classes with the teachers, taking care of the animation every evening on Thursday. He/she will also participate in the local events by preparing games and workshops for different public.
Ubytovanie, strava a doprava
Volunteers will receive pocket and food money at the beginning of each month. Accommodation will be in a youth dormitory called Habitat Jeunes Laval. You will be hosted in a fully equipped apartment by sharing it with one another European volunteer. Each volunteer is having private room. Volunteers have the possibility to cook in the apartments or to eat in the canteen. Every evening Habitat Jeunes dormitory offers animations for the inhabitants (sport evenings, cultural evening, etc.) Transportation from home country to Laval and return will be paid up, as a bus to the Craon every day.
Odborná príprava počas činnosti
National Agency in France proposes an arrival training and a mid-term training with other volunteers. At your arrival, you will get a training with the House of Europe to get all the necessary information to put in place animations about Europe and you will have a tutor to guide you through your project.
Profil účastníka
We are looking for a person who is motivated to work with young teenagers from rural areas and who wants to promote international mobility and European topics. He/she needs to be comfortable speaking in front of such audience, to be pedagogic and patient. The volunteer needs to have interest in youth work or education. To be creative and have imagination to create new projects with the school. Basic knowledge of French (is required) and an experience in animation would be great bonus.
