From City to Countryside Living is a 30 day volunteering team ESC project which will take place in Raches, Central Greece. Our goal is to motivate young people to move from the cities to the countryside by giving them practical skills and choices for a sustainable life. We will together learn how to build sustainable structures, grow our own food, make more eco-friendly choices, earn a living and experience countryside by being connected to ourselves and the others through workshops, sports and culture. Ubytovanie, strava a doprava
During your ESC project, your accommodation is fully covered by the programme costs. Wheeling2help base is at NISI Glamping, where the volunteers nest is located as well! You will share a room with one more volunteer. Regarding food, you are going to get food allowance to cook yourself or enjoy delicious meals at NISI’s restaurant. Raches is a small sea-side village where the longest distance is less than 3km, so you do not really need transportation. If you like cycling though, you are more than welcome to use our Wheeling2help bicycles!
Odborná príprava počas činnosti
Training will be provided by the task related person assigned to the volunteer regarding all the every day tasks. The volunteer will also have the opportunity to get training in other areas of activities from Wheeling2help.
Profil účastníka
The project is open for young happy, positive and flexible people: ● Aged 18 - 30 years old ● facing any kind of troubles in life (long-term unemployed, facing financial or social obstacles, LGBTQIA) ● Interested in living the experience of spending the summer season in a beautiful campsite by the sea. ● Highly motivated to explore the lifestyle of a social changemaker (being an initiator, being flexible with working hours and working places, being open-minded, being flexible in general). ● Ready to work in an international environment with cultural differencies.
