As a volunteer, you will play an important role in supporting both the daily activities of the venue and the development of CineClube47. CineClube 47 is the result of a cooperation between Activar and the Municipal Theathre of Lousã. Building a space for the creation, discovery, and sharing of the life born of cinema is our mission. The club is led by a group of people who are passionate about cinema and whose main goal is to encourage conversation about what each screening evokes in us. Your tasks include: Providing customer service and supporting the daily operation of the cafeteria during weekdays. Assisting in the promotion and communication of CineClube47 activities: creating content for social media and other communication channels. Supporting the organisation and logistics of film screenings and post-screening debates. Contributing with ideas and initiatives.
Ubytovanie, strava a doprava
You will have a bedroom in a fully equipped flat in the centre of Lousã, with access to services nearby: bakeries, supermarkets, cafes, pubs, pharmacies, health centre; post office, swimming pool, gym, nature and cultural spaces. Food allowance will be given monthly, through Revolut account . There are local public transports and a bus to the city of Coimbra. You will be able to reach the workplaces and main services by bike or on foot and might also use Activar's van punctually for long-distance activities. There is access to Wi-Fi, electric heaters, bed linen and bath towel.
Odborná príprava počas činnosti
Regular meetings and integration in Activar's teams as well as "on the job" training will be provided. You will be given access to Online Linguistic Support (OLS) platform and we will also suggest other tools to study and learn the portuguese language. Support for clarifying doubts and motivation to improve your skills and develop your ideas will be given by the workers at your volunteering space, the ESC coordinator.
Profil účastníka
For this specific project we need a participant with good knowlegde of Portuguese and/or Spanish. We are looking for volunteers with: 1) openness to live in another country and adapt to a new environment in a very small town; 2) awareness of your responsibilities as volunteer; 3) flexibility and openness for collaborative work; 4) sense of mission and purpose; 5) willingness to contribute to the community and non-profit organisations; 6) a wish for self-growth and self-investment; curiosity and openness towards diversity and new cultures; 7) commitment to learning basic Portuguese; willingness to share experiences.
