ESC VOLUNTEERING IN SYCOW (Poland). Looking for a volunteering experience where you become part of a community, not just complete tasks? In Syców, you will quickly stop being “an international volunteer” and start becoming part of local life. You will work with residents, schools, cultural organisations, the Senior Home and the Youth City Council, co-creating real social and cultural activities. You can get involved in: • activities for children, youth and seniors • language, creative and sports workshops • intercultural integration and refugee support • concerts, exhibitions and local events • social media and ESC promotion This project is based on cooperation and your own ideas – if you have an initiative, we will help you bring it to life. You will develop intercultural, organisational and communication skills in a truly international environment. Here, you don’t just join a project – you become part of a community.
Настаняване, хранене и транспорт
CENTRAL LOCATION: You will live in Sycow, near Wroclaw, with easy access to public transport, shops, and city life. ACCOMMODATION: Comfortable shared housing in single or double rooms, with a fully equipped kitchen and access to a washing machine. FOOD & POCKET MONEY: You will receive monthly food and pocket money to cover your daily needs. INSURANCE: Full insurance coverage provided. LANGUAGE SUPPORT: Access to Polish language learning through OLS. MENTORSHIP: Ongoing support from an experienced mentor. TRAVEL COSTS: Travel costs are covered according to programme rules.

PRE-DEPARTURE PREPARATION Before starting the project, volunteers receive preparation and support from their Sending Organisation. ON-ARRIVAL TRAINING: An introduction to Sycow, Polish culture and history, as well as an overview of the project structure, workplaces, and planned activities. ONGOING REFLECTION & EVALUATION: Regular meetings with mentors and coordinators to reflect on the experience, discuss progress, and support personal development throughout the project. **Volunteers will additionally participate in a seminar organised by the National Agency.**

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR: We are looking for motivated young people aged 18–30 who are eager to become part of a local community through an international volunteering experience in a small town in Poland. We welcome participants who are open-minded, proactive, and interested in working closely with people of different ages and backgrounds. Curiosity, empathy, and willingness to engage in everyday community life are more important than specific experience. This project is based on real cooperation with local schools, cultural institutions, NGOs, and municipal partners. Volunteers are not just participants – they are co-creators of activities that have a visible impact on the local community. During the project, you will have the opportunity to develop practical skills, share your ideas, and work together with local residents on meaningful social, cultural, and educational initiatives. We believe that volunteering is about building relationships, not just completing tasks. We encourage you to be open to new experiences, take initiative, and become part of a community where your presence truly matters.
