Deskrizzjoni

The volunteer will have the opportunity to learn first-hand about the situations of migration and forced displacement and sexual and reproductive rights, the situation of violence against women, children and adolescents in El Salvador and the Mesoamerican Region through the development and humanitarian aid projects that we are carrying out. Functions: Support in the identification, preparation and drafting of proposals for submission to donors / Follow up on indicators and sources of verification of projects / Proposing concrete improvements to project monitoring and follow-up systems and tools to the coordinating offices / Support in the data collection and accountability tools to the communities.

Akkomodazzjoni, ikel u arranġamenti tat-trasport

Living conditions in El Salvador are comfortable. All basic services and recreational facilities are easily accessible. The volunteer will be accommodated in one of the houses identified by MdM or its counterparts and will receive a monthly subsistence allowance of 700EUR to cover his/her food expenses. Accommodation; return flights; visa and vaccination costs; health insurance; and basic equipment (laptops and mobile phone) will be provided and covered during deployment. Transportation and accommodation will also be provided and covered for all work-related travel. 

Taħriġ matul l-attività

Volunteers will improve their professional knowledge through training in humanitarian action, and specific issues on security, gender, psychosocial support and will be provided with training resources to continue their learning. Those selected will receive briefings/training at MdM headquarters in Madrid with the different departments related to the mission and the position, as well as mandatory online training on environmental issues before they start their field work. Training sessions will take place both in the countries of the support and host organisations.

Profil tal-parteċipant

- Interest in Social Sciences, Administration, International Cooperation, Development and/or Humanitarian Action. - Additional training in project formulation, implementation, monitoring and evaluation is desirable. - Knowledge of the Latin American context, especially countries in the Mesoamerican region is an asset. - Good command of the Office package. - Writing skills. - Communication skills - Spanish essential/ English very favourable. - Ability to work in a team. - Ability to adapt to different contexts. - Time availability and flexibility to carry out activities. - Competence in communication and social networks. Eligibility : Candidates must be 18 to 35 years old, reside in one of the eligible countries (EU Member State, North Macedonia, Iceland, Liechtenstein or Turkey), have completed the compulsory Humanitarian Aid Volunteering training and not have participated before in individual Humanitarian Aid Volunteering. When adding together this new volunteering opportunity and any previous participation in EU volunteering programmes, the total duration cannot exceed 12 months.
